Coalition
for Correctional Health
The
Coalition for Correctional Healthcare Authorities held its
All Health Authority Training Oct. 1-3 in Indianapolis. CCHA
is comprised of correctional health authorities from each
state, the Federal Bureau of Prisons and six of the nation’s
large urban jails. We want to thank Harley Lappin, director
of the BOP, and Morris Thigpen, director of the National
Institute of Corrections, for believing in the importance of
this training and for helping ACA in its effort to continue
to meld treatment and security into professional
corrections.
Executive
Committee
The ACA
Executive Committee held its fall meeting on Saturday, Oct.
4 in Indianapolis in conjunction with the All Health
Authority Training. At the meeting, we welcomed our new
officers: President Harold Clarke, President-Elect Daron
Hall, Vice President Patricia Caruso, Treasurer Christopher
Epps and our two newly elected Board of Governors
Representatives to the Executive Committee: Mark Saunders
and Ana Aguirre. Congratulations to these Executive
Committee members on their successful election, and again
our sincere thanks to everyone who ran for election.
