To place an ad in ACA's Web site Job Bank, e-mail the text for the ad along with your billing information (contact name, billing address, phone number) and ACA membership number, if applicable, to:
BonnieC@aca.org . The cost to ACA members is $400 for 200 or fewer words and $500 for nonmembers. For ads with 201-300 words the cost is $600 for ACA members and $740 for nonmembers. The ad will be copy edited according to our style, then e-mailed back to you with a word count and price quote for your approval.
Ads will be posted on the Web site until the specified closing date or up to 60 days. Additionally, you may choose to have the same ad printed at no additional cost in one of our member publications -- Corrections Today magazine (published in February, April, June, July, August, October and December) and/or On the Line newsletter (published in January, March, May, September and November). Speak Out - Your Opinion Counts
The staff of Corrections Today take pride in knowing that the magazine is a vehicle that not only serves as a premier ACA member, benefit of being a member of ACA, but that it has several columns that allow you to voice your opinion or concerns about issues that are relevant to the field. We know that there are many components to the day-to-day regimen of a corrections professional. "A View From the Line" is the column for you. We are sure that there are many things that happen in correctional facilities and community corrections that you would like to share with others about the tough and, sometimes, rewarding job that you do. Article and Photo Reprints
To purchase professionally printed, color or black and white article reprints, a written request must be submitted, stating what the reprint will be used for, the quantity needed, and if you want color or black and white copies. Prices will be secured based upon your specifications. Pre-payment by check or credit card is required.
In addition, ACA has a variety of photographs in its photo archives that are available for purchase. There is a research and handling fee of $25 per photo, in addition to duplication charges. ACA will provide the photo credit that must be listed with the photograph. Please specify if you would like to receive prints or electronic copies of the photos. ACA Celebrates Another Award-Winning Year
Once again, the American Correctional Association (ACA) has been recognized as an award-winning organization in the publishing arena. The 2010 APEX (Awards for Publication Excellence) selections recognized ACA's magazine Corrections Today for the 13th consecutive year. This year's award was in the category of Magazines and Journal Writing: April 2009 issue
- Professional Development. The first issue of Correctional Health Today won in the New Magazines and Journals category. And ACA's 9 to 5 Beats Ten to Life: How to (Re)Enter Society, Second Edition, by Mike Davis, won a Grand Award.
