Position Overview:
The Correction's Physician Specialist directs the Health Services program at an institution to provide care and treatment to adults in custody during incarceration.
This position provides assessment and treatment of adults in custody at the Oregon State Penitentiary. This includes coordination of care with Mental Health Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and other Physicians. Treatment is provided in a manner consistent with best medical practices, ODOC rules, federal and state laws, state medical licensing rules, and interagency agreements. Major duties include:
Minimum Qualifications
You must have, or have the ability to obtain, a current Physician's license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners at the time of appointment and board certified in the area of specialty.
