Job Title: Deputy Chief, Corrections

 Orange County Government in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a Deputy Chief of Corrections position. This position is an appointed, executive-level position whose incumbents serve at the pleasure of the County Mayor. As a Deputy Chief of Corrections, you will be responsible for initiating and providing leadership, guidance and direction, and management of the daily operations within the County’s Corrections System. You will assist with long and short-term planning for programming, facilities, and coordinating staff activities. This position report to the Chief of Corrections.

Ideal Candidates for this position will match the following profile:

 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Social Services or a closely related field, 8 years of progressively responsible correctional supervisory and administrative experience with at least 5 years at a management level. Proven skills in managing a large correctional facility and the ability to complete large-scale initiatives are required.  Must possess sound knowledge, skills, and abilities in Correctional facility operations, Inmate Programs, and Community Corrections.

 Salary Range: $121,014.40 - $187,553.60 based on qualifications.
